Starkey launches new Genesis AI hearing aids

Starkey is at the forefront of the hearing industry, having recently incorporated both artificial intelligence and health tracking technologies into their hearing aids. These technologies have been improved upon and added to some new features in the newly announced Genesis AI, which offers an unparalleled listening experience for patients. Redesigned from the ground up, Genesis AI hearing aids feature brand new components, software, and features, including a new processor, industrial design, fitting software, and a re-imagined patient experience.

Here are some key features of the new Genesis AI hearing aids:

  • The smallest processor ever made by Starkey, but also the most powerful with 6x more transistors.
  • The new Neuro Processor operates quickly, efficiently, and quietly and is up to 4x faster than previous processors.
  • Loaded with 5X more computational memory and 10X the amount of non-volatile memory. It is also more power-efficient while delivering this increased processing power.
  • A new compression system has been developed that synthesizes signals from slow and fast compression systems to optimize perceptual outcomes. This system is similar to the neural fibers that code different information for the brain.
  • A product lineup that includes the Genesis RIC RT, the industry’s longest-lasting RIC (receiver-in-canal) rechargeable hearing aid and the Genesis mRIC, the smallest mRIC with a sensor for health tracking.

The new Neuro-Processor

The all-new Starkey Neuro Processor incorporates the industry's most advanced processor technology. It operates quickly, efficiently, and quietly, providing up to 4x faster processing than previous Starkey processors. Additionally, the processor is more power-efficient, even while delivering significantly higher processing power. This means that the system will drain the batteries at a slower pace, even though it is performing more operations than previous generations (like the Evolv AI). This new processor mimics the function of the central auditory system through a Deep Neural Network (DNN) on-chip accelerator and automatic functions.

Brand new design

Genesis AI features a sleek, discreet, and stylish aesthetic design. The product is durable and comfortable for all-day wear, helping to break barriers and reduce the stigma associated with hearing care technology today.

More memory and power

The hearing aids are loaded with 5X more computational memory and 10X the amount of non-volatile memory. A new compression system has been developed that synthesizes signals from slow and fast compression systems to optimize perceptual outcomes, similar to the neural fibers that code different information for the brain.

Genesis AI Streaming

Genesis AI’s improved streaming capabilities utilize binaural phone steaming, sharing information to both ears directly and simultaneously. This supports two-way, hands-free calling through compatible Apple and Android devices and makes it easier for patients to enjoy their favorite music, podcast or show.

New Software and App

Starkey’s all-new fitting software, Pro Fit, was designed from the ground up based on input from Audiologists and hearing professionals around the globe. Designed for efficiency, ease of use, and a seamless fitting experience — from first fit to fine-tuning, this system ensures that patients receive the best possible care. The new My Starkey smartphone App gives patients full control over their hearing aids, plus the ability to get helpful tips, track their health, and access intelligent features designed to simplify their lives.
