Lenire Tinnitus Technology
Silicon Valley Hearing Inc. is pleased to announce that Marni Novick, Au.D., has been chosen as one of the few providers in the United States to offer the Neuromod Lenire Tinnitus Device as a tinnitus management solution to patients. Lenire (Len-ear) is the only commercially available, clinically trialed, dual-mode tinnitus treatment device approved by the U.S. FDA. The Lenire tinnitus technology system effectively and safely uses dual-mode, bimodal neuromodulation to help provide soothing relief from tinnitus. The at-home tinnitus treatment device comes with three important elements:
- Lenire Tonguetip™, which is designed to rest comfortably in the closed mouth and deliver gentle, mild pulses to the surface of the tongue
- Lenire Controller, which is a portable, handheld device that allows you to adjust the Tonguetip stimulation intensity and audio volume during your treatment
- Wireless headphones that are specifically paired to the Lenire Controller to play calming and soothing music in tandem with tongue stimulation
The combination of gentle electrical stimulation via the tongue and auditory stimulation via the ear provides the brain with bimodal neuromodulation. Research has suggested that the combined stimulation of both the auditory nerve and the trigeminal nerve drives stronger adaptive neuroplasticity, which, in turn, can reduce the brain’s attention and sensitivity to the tinnitus sound, better than just stimulating one nerve at a time. The Lenire tinnitus treatment can be done safely and comfortably in the privacy of your own home.
The Lenire tinnitus technology’s safety and effectiveness were trialed with 600+ patients throughout the world.1 The clinical studies have shown that Lenire was more effective than sound therapy alone for those with moderate or worse tinnitus in the third clinical trial.2 Landmark results showed that 91% of those who use Lenire as advised had sustained relief from tinnitus for at least 12 months after treatment.3 Consistently across all three clinical trials, 83% of participants would recommend Lenire to treat tinnitus.4 For more information on the science behind Lenire, read here.
